The Sikyatki low shouldered olla is a contemporary representation of a classic vessel
from the prehistoric village of Sikyatki. Hopi corn, not requiring irrigation, is a basic
staple and is representative of the identity of the Hopi people from the high mesa
country of Northern Arizona. Prehistoric ceramics from the Sikyatki period are
considered to be of the finest design and shape in all of North America. © 1995
