DOUBLE LOBE:

The Double Lobe vase and the related triple lobe form may be unique to Sikyatki ceramics,
but the form echo's a Mesoamerican flavor. The central band and the lid have star designs.
In the Pueblo pantheon the star can represent the morning star, the evening star or the solstice.
Prehistoric star watching was a part of life and ritual. Among prehistoric sea navigators, star
navigation was necessary for long voyages that occurred in the americas and in Polynesia. © 1995
