HOPI MAIDEN (Clay):

The sculpted Hopi Maiden was created with a blanket encircling the shoulders of the figure.
The swirling highlighted lines reflect the curved feather designs of Hopi Sikyatki ceramics.
The original was created in clay with a gold feather, and a gold, turquoise and coral necklace.
In this collaborative work the jewelry pieces were created by Charles Suppleé, an accomplished
and talented Hopi jeweler. © 1995
