CORN MAIDEN:

This abstract piece uses a negative space to define the face and soul of this mythical maiden.
A few collector's recalling this piece, some time after their initial viewing, swear that a
"face" was present rather than the negative space. The artist finds this an interesting reaction.
The corn image forms the central motif of this piece. Corn was the staff of life for native
peoples of the americas.

The Corn Maiden pictured was produced in an edition of 30, however it is now unavailable
due to collection. A "New Corn Maiden", with a blanket partially drawn across the corn
(photo not yet available), has been produced in an Edition of 17. © 1995
